From The Gaston Gazette:

Before moving from the trendy Plaza Midwood area of Charlotte to Belmont, Peggy Chan cast a skeptical eye toward the picturesque portrayal of small town living depicted on TV shows, with idyllic downtowns, quaint restaurants and small shops.

She and her friends discounted those images as just romanticized versions of real life.

“We’d always ask, ‘Where are these towns?'” Chan said Thursday. “Now, I think, I kind of just moved to one.”

Chan spent part of her Thursday night viewing artwork at the Bliss Gallery in downtown Belmont, sort of a sneak peak to the main attraction – Moonlight on Main – that begins this weekend and continues over the next two weekends.
