A walking trail connecting the city of Belmont and the town of Cramerton that will be part of the Carolina Thread Trail will open Saturday, Aug. 7.
A reopening ceremony for the Rocky Branch Park will take place noon Saturday at the Rocky Branch trailhead in Belmont at 221 Woodrow Ave.
The trail will offer a place for hikers and mountain bikers of all skills levels to access the outdoors, said David Baker, Rocky Branch Park committee chairman. The trail ranges from easy to strenuous.
