From The Gaston Gazette:
New Orleans native Heidi Cole believes that home lies wherever someone drops their anchor. Hers was always with her family, but after Hurricane Katrina they all became scattered. Cole’s home then became the water.
As her home, she created Anchored Soul, a paddleboarding business she and her husband Chris currently run.
An aunt in Florida introduced Cole to the idea of paddleboarding 13 years ago. Cole thought it looked like fun, but at the time paddleboarding was not as popular and boards were expensive.
